NEW CHRISTIAN COACHING BOOK

Long time readers know that I don't use this newsletter to promote myself or my books. This time, however, I am delighted to announce that the revised edition of my Christian Coaching book has been released. This is an updated and expanded version with new material (including new chapters on change, coaching cross culturally and other issues), updated references, discussions of emerging trends, and a new coaching model. All of this is accompanied by a new website that goes with the book: www.christiancoachingbook.com.

Last year I gave an academic lecture on how publishing is changing. Going (maybe gone) are the days when authors and publishers dispensed information to readers in a one-way flow of sentences printed on paper and bound together into books. Contemporary readers, especially students, want the opportunity to interact with book authors and with each other. Emerging technology is expanding the dissemination and flow of ideas and knowledge. All of this bounces instantaneously across social networks worldwide. The new christiancoachingbook website is my effort to communicate in a new way after years of writing words that were transferred from me to readers via ink on paper.

The new book is accompanied by a blog, video clips, opportunities for feedback and interaction, period webinars with the author and his guests, ongoing updates, downloadable chapters and coaching forms for use with clients. This is intended to be a constant work in progress. Maybe it will be a basic model of what others can do with more sophistication, technical know-how and impact in coming months. Please look at my initial effort and then do better with your publications.

This newsletter will continue to go to the inboxes of the 3500 people who subscribe weekly. It also will appear on the new website with easy opportunity for you to respond or to join the discussion.
